Weekly Update (November 2 - 8)



Thank you for supporting I Scream, You Scream 2009. We were able to pack 23 boxes! If you'd like to donate money to allow the church to create and send additional boxes, please write a check to FEC-SGV and note Operation Christmas Child in the memo line.

This Friday

Charis Friday Night Fellowship (7:30 - 9:30)

- We're studying Hebrews 6 at Enery's home in Monterey Park. Please be sure to bring your Bibles and notebooks! You'll definitely want to read ahead for this one.

This Sunday

Connections Live! (9:30 - 11:00 A.M., Chapel 2)

Pastor John will be preaching the final message in the series, "What Does The Bible Say About ...?" This week's topic: The Tragedy of Abortion. If you've missed any of the messages in the series, you can download the notes and audio of the message here.

Connections Study (11:30 - 12:30, E10)

Join us for Session 4 of Becoming a Contagious Christian. This week, we'll be studying ways to tell your own story of faith.

Upcoming Events!!!

Church-wide Town Hall meeting will be held on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8 at 1:30 in CHAPEL 2. The purpose of this meeting is to give you a chance to ask questions or comment on the church's budget and ministries. If you are a member of the church, you will receive a copy of the 2010 budget in the mail at the address you have on file with the church by the end of this week..

We have an opportunity to serve with other FECA churches and HABITAT FOR HUMANITY on NOVEMBER 14 from 8:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.. This is a chance to work on various aspects of the construction of a house in Glendale as a tangible to way to serve God and provide for those who are less fortunate. There is a 20 volunteer limit and please sign up by emailing us at charis@sgvconnections.com or leaving a comment here ASAP!

2009 Annual Membership Meeting will be held on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15th at 1:30 P.M. in the Main Sanctuary. At this time, the church members will vote on the 2010 budget as well as various congregational deacons and elders. Church members: Please be sure to come a vote!
