Hi, all! Hope the week is treating you well thus far. Are you enjoying this summer weather in the winter?
Here's what's happening this week:
This Friday (Friday Fellowship, 7:30 - 9:30)
You guys got a huge overview of Hermaneutics last week so we'll be applying it specifically to Old Testament Narratives/Law this week! See you at Enery's House at 7:30. There will be a possible Guesstures rematch. May the best team get the trophy.
This Sunday
Connections Live! (9:30 - 11:00, Chapel 2)
Last week, Pastor John started a series "Conversations with God" with the first message, "Why Talk to God?" We learned that talking to God emphasizes God's sovereignty which it helps us to acknowledge our own limitations. This week, Pastor John will continue with the second message in the series, "Can I Really Talk to God?"
Connections Study (11:30 - 12:30, E10)
Session 1 of Discovery 1.0 was a good time of discussion our church history. Come back for Session 2 to make the connection between our history and our present and future! Don't forget, a new Connections Study, Network, begins the following Sunday on January 24th!
Prayer Requests
- Some of our brothers and sisters have headed or are heading back to school this week, nearby and far. Please pray for safe travels and smooth transitions.
- Continue to pray for Joanne who is studying abroad in Hong Kong and Michael who is serving in the Coast Guard. It's tough being alone and far away from home.
- Keep praying for the Jenny and her family. Jenny's surgery has been postponed due to more required tests on her liver.
