World Christian Conference 2010

Here is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow. If you'd like to attend, please sign up! Perhaps you can gather a group of Charis peeps to go with you!

The following is some information from Ben Ku who is helping out with the conference this year:

WCC is an annual mission conference to help Asian Americans (and anyone who closely identifies with the Asian American worldview) integrate God's calling in their lives. We're very excited about this year's conference, taking place Feb 12-15, for several reasons.

(1) Our theme is "Now: Testify to Nations, Anticipate the King." We believe that given current world events and the status of world evangelization, this is a kairos moment for churches, especially Asian Americans, to rise up and step into their destiny in God's mission.
(2) Our speakers include:
  • Donna Dong, who is a National Director for InterVarsity focused on Multiethnic/multicultural ministry
  • John Lo, lead pastor at Epicentre Church,
  • Wayne, who serves in East Asia focusing on influencing emerging leaders.
(3) This is WCC's 25th Anniversary, and there will be very special elements in this year's program.

In addition to plenary sessions, WCC features practical workshops, small group processing sessions, ministry consultations, ministry representatives/booths, Special Interest Booths, and Focused Small Groups. Please visit WCC's web site <http://www.wcfellowship.org/wcc> for more information. We are encouraging people to register early, as we anticipate the conference to fill up quickly (Register by 12/20 for a $50 discount).
